If you owe taxes, you will receive a notice from the IRS requesting payment within ten days. If you do not pay within ten days, the IRS can record a Notice of Federal Tax Lien against you.
This lien attaches to all property you currently own or acquire in the future. The lien will remain on your record until the tax plus penalties and interest are paid in full.
A Notice of Federal Tax Lien affects your credit rating. It will be very difficult to borrow money, refinance or buy a house, a car or other property.
Our firm can negotiate with the IRS and arrange for release of property from the lien. We have made it possible for many clients to later refinance and/or purchase property.
This is a complicated area of tax law and you need the assistance of a professional. A lien can just make your life extremely difficult.
We are confident that members of our staff can assist you in resolving your tax problem. Please contact TPS immediately so that we can help you.
